Relationship with humans:
Mount leeches as the name suggests, are leech monsters that are used by humans as a mount. These leeches are much more than that though, they are a partner for life. Leech monsters are creatures which evolved to live in solitude and therfore don't usually form strong bonds, there are two ways to "domesticate" a leech:
1. Close intimate care since tadpolehood (or very early in the development of the leech). By raising the leech and taking care of it since it's most vulnerable stage, the caretaker gains it's outmost trust. The leech will see it's caretaker as a leader and protector.
2. Monitored breeding, a way to ease leeches into accepting and wanting human contact, though this way of domesticating usually results in another class of leech monsters, pet class.
Mount leeches aren't like pet leeches, they will respect and protect their rider, but they are not accustomed to other humans and can be dangerous. It is their rider/partner's responsibility to make sure their leech doesn't bite or eat anything they shouldn't, mount classes aren't typically allowed to be raised or riden inside large cities.
In the wild, mount leech monsters are typically nomadic, they don't have a permanent or long lasting nest, they much rather explore their environment.
