Traits

Thin tail

Thin tail (Normal)

Category: Tail

A long thin tail, resembling a cat's tail.

This trait is most common on mount class to allow for an easier and more streamlined travel.

Brush tail

Brush tail (Normal)

Category: Tail

A tail draped either side in a thin wide feeler that's easily cut and torn, giving it a ragged appearance.

This tail makes it easier for ambush hunter leeches to stay afloat and still above the water.

Finned tail

Finned tail (Normal)

Category: Tail

A basic tail with a simple short finned tip.

Seen as a more specialized tadpole tail, this is for leeches that spend most of their time/hunts in the water.
The fins have never been known to exceed regular feeler length on non-saltwater leeches.

Curled tail

Curled tail (Normal)

Category: Tail

A larger basic tail, held in a tightly curled formation.

Younger leeches with this trait can uncurl their tail, but as they age the muscle development eventually holds it in this shape permanently.

Split end tail

Split end tail (Normal)

Category: Tail

A tail that has split in two near the tip.
The split can only be near the end of the tail as not to be confused with the multiple tail Myth trait.

This tail can appear as a genetic mishap, or if the tail suffers damage as a tadpole is developing. Regardless, the two tips still move in unison as if they were still one tail.

Scorpion tail

Scorpion tail (Normal)

Category: Tail

A bulky tail with a sharp stinger, but it doesn't pack venom.

These tails are flexible and dexterous, often seen on security-trained leeches for extra threat factor.

Note: Containing a toxin is classed as Unlisted Myth, and it can range from as minor as a bee sting, to venom that destroys tissue in seconds - but this is a very rare occurrence, and usually only seen in lab-restricted specimens.

Grub tail

Grub tail (Normal)

Category: Tail

A fat, ribbed tail, which serves the purpose of storing fat and nutrients.

Leeches with this tail can detach it when attacked, but afterwards it will always grow back as the smooth Tanuki tail.

Imp tail

Imp tail (Normal)

Category: Tail

A tadpole tail that never quite fully developed, ending in a small and pointed single-finned tip.

Leeches with this trait are often on the smaller side, and have a more juvenile and playful personality.

Floppy tail

Floppy tail (Normal)

Category: Tail

A much larger basic tail, coiled upward off the ground.

Much like curled, leeches hold their tail like this to avoid collateral damage, but due to being a much looser shape there is no muscular degradation and it can always be uncurled at will.

Tentacle tail

Tentacle tail (Normal)

Category: Tail

A long, flexible tail with suckers underneath it.

Leeches often use this handy trait to capture and hold prey, or reach high places and grab things their owner won’t give them.

Tanuki tail

Tanuki tail (Normal)

Category: Tail

Broad and blunt-tipped, tanuki is a trait that's exhibited by grub tailed leeches that dropped their tail due to damage or to distract an attacking predator.

Ironically, it’s said that touching this tail will bring you money and fertility, despite its origins of misfortune.

Chicken tail

Chicken tail (Normal)

Category: Tail

A localized cluster of large drape feelers in the shape of a chicken's tail.

It’s popular among pet class and mount class for its stylized, fluffy-looking factor. Much like the nub tail, it stores no fat, often requiring the leech to bulk up in its neck.

Mock Spider Tail

Mock Spider Tail (Normal)

Category: Tail

A large, tapering bulb tail with two spikes protruding from its tip.

Leeches with this trait are often stealth hunters; the dense rounded tail doesn't drag on the ground and packs a large amount of nutrients.

Shrimp tail

Shrimp tail (Common Myth)

Category: Tail

A bulky tail with a bunched-fin tip that can spread like a fan.

Most often seen on pampered and spoiled leeches; their frequent feeding allowed for this large and luxurious tail to grow to an impressive size.
Leeches with thinner shrimp tails can use it swim, but when fully fed its enlarged state is so buoyant the leech cannot submerge.

Rattle tail

Rattle tail (Common Myth)

Category: Tail

A scaled tail with a rattle at the tip of it.

Leeches rattle this tail to possibly scare off attackers, but every individual with this trait has a distinct rhythm to them.

Container tail

Container tail (Uncommon Myth)

Category: Tail

A huge membranous tail filled with liquid. The top of the tail always presents thicker patches of skin or opaque patterns.

The liquid color varies, for example: It may be blood that's stored for future consumption, or a sweet smelling liquid the leech utilizes to attract prey.
It's shown to be connected to the digestive tract, so any liquid stored inside must be ingested by the leech first, and processed or stored directly.

Centi tail

Centi tail (Uncommon Myth)

Category: Tail

A strong wide tail covered in segmented patches of thicker skin.

The grippers at the end can't move on their own and they are actually sensory organs. Leeches with this trait are incredibly spatially aware and cannot be snuck up on easily.
It's very common to see paired with grabber claws, resulting in a leech curling this tail up and shielding prey or a favored toy to protect it from theft.

Ray tail

Ray tail (Uncommon Myth)

Category: Tail

A complex tail with an array of stingray-like fins. The tip of it can come equipped with a vicious detachable barb to strike prey.

While this tail is long and slender, it still cannot exceed a leech's body length unless it is Saltwater class.
Leeches with this trait are often targeted by poachers, but are swift and maneuverable swimmers.

Oriental tail

Oriental tail (Common Myth)

Category: Tail

A long serpentlike tail with a bushy hair tip.

In folklore, seeing a leech with an oriental tail signifies that there will be heavy rainfall in the immediate future and that the village river dams should be reinforced. In reality, these leeches are simply anticipating the rain so that they can go out and play.

Object tail

Object tail (Potion)

Category: Tail

[Potion item]: Cursed Keychain

A tail that looks like an object.

Leeches use this tail mutation to bait prey but whether it looks like a slab of meat, a plushie or a big flower- it is still just the leech's tail.

Note: This tail can only resemble one (1) whole inanimate object - it cannot have independently moving, powered, disconnected or jointed parts, and is simply a replica. It may be used to hold things such as liquid or pretty rocks, but the things are not part of the tail.
It is treated as a regular tail would be - any additional tails will require a multi tail upgrade. The upgrade is once per tail.
