Horns

Horns are hard protrusions. Leeches have them for a variety of reasons, for example: For protection, for hunting, for beauty and for mimicry.
Horn traits can be slightly altered as long as the basic premise remains. (For example, uni can be ribbed, halo can have a notch in the middle)
Horns can be mixed and matched, but only two types can be mixed (for example uni + rhino, or tri + slick)
Leeches can only have 1 set of horns without a myth upgrade
Horns are an optional trait!

Ears

Ears are actually usually non-functional, they are shaped feelers that are soft to the touch and can be bent.
Ears are an optional trait!
Ear traits can be mixed and matched, as well as slightly customized as long as the basic trait premise stays.  (For example, using the bun trait as straight up ears instead of lop)
You can use up to 3 pairs. (6 ears)
<a href="https://leechmonsters.com/world/trait-categories?name=Eyes" class="display-category">Eyes</a>

Eyes

Most leeches don't have eyes, and these who do usually still rely more on their other senses.
Eyes can be anywhere on the body, not just on the face!
Leeches can only have up to 5 eyes total (above is myth)
Eyes can be any size, but they're usually on the smaller side.
Leeches can have eyelashes, but it'd be a stylistic choice!
<a href="https://leechmonsters.com/world/trait-categories?name=Teeth/Jaw" class="display-category">Teeth/Jaw</a>

Teeth/Jaw

The mouth/teeth are vital to a leech monster. Teeth come in a variety of shapes for a variety of purposes!
Mouth traits that have a '+' next to them are jaw traits, which means they can be matched with teeth traits. (Ex: Spider (Toothless), Beak (Saber))
Teeth can be any color! All leech teeth change color when feeding.
Teeth traits cannot be mixed or be different than illustrated.
<a href="https://leechmonsters.com/world/trait-categories?name=Neck" class="display-category">Neck</a>

Neck

Neck traits are really just different spots leeches store blood in!
Neck traits can be mixed and matched.
Neck traits are optional.
<a href="https://leechmonsters.com/world/trait-categories?name=Tail" class="display-category">Tail</a>

Tail

A leeches tail can have multiple uses, but most commonly they are used either for swimming or storing fat.

- Tail traits can be mixed and matched as long as the basic premise remains. (For example an imp tail with split ends, a basic tail can be as long as the leech itself)
-The tail length of a leech shouldn't exceed the length of its body (butt to shoulders)! Visual Reference Guide
- A leech can only have 1 tail.
<a href="https://leechmonsters.com/world/trait-categories?name=Hoodie" class="display-category">Hoodie</a>

Hoodie

The hoodie trait is free to use for myos/existing designs! The "hoodie" is made of flabby skin and can't be taken off under normal circumstances, it keeps a leech monster warm under chilly weather since most leeches aren't adapted to cold climates! You'd need to get it approved like any other redesign.

- The Greyhound, Sweat, Pelt, Suit and Kigu traits CAN be combined with other leech traits (feelers/whiskers/spikes etc) to create variations on the hoodie part of your leech's body such as cute ears, eyes, spikes, silly animal faces and so on.
- The Tailmouth trait CANNOT be combined with leech traits other than the hoodie variations and must remain identical or similar to the example pictured here.
<a href="https://leechmonsters.com/world/trait-categories?name=Mutations" class="display-category">Mutations</a>

Mutations

Leech monster bodies have a natural drive to mutate and adapt to the environment their egg was laid in. While leeches thrive in moist, warm environments... extremely cold or extremely dry environments face a real challenge for them!

Inorganic body traits can't be mixed under normal circumstances.

Saltwater traits

traits that are exclusive to the saltwater class

Feelers

Feelers are additional traits available to all myo!

Feelers are fleshy growths that manifest on a leeches body! They are used to feel the environment, for camouflage or to mimic other animals.
Feelers can be longer than illustrated, but their width can only be as illustrated on this sheet.
Feeler clusters grow in pairs of threes or less, and can be anywhere on the body.
Drape feelers can mimic fur, but they are obviously stylized. (fur is a myth trait!)
Feelers can be mixed and matched! (ex: drape + tentacles)
Feelers should be drawn to look simple and not overly detailed, they're just flabs of skin.
